Deputy Area Sales Manager

Job Description

The Deputy Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Area Sales Manager in overseeing and managing the sales activities within a designated geographic area. This position involves leadership responsibilities, team management, and collaboration with various departments to achieve sales targets and promote business growth.

Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Routine Activity

  1. Market development activities in assigned area to increase sales and new dealer appointment, Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  2. Identify, evaluate and select dealers / distributors in the given geography and On- board them  to increase sales Revenue
  3. Brand promotion, demand creation from dealers to increase the sales and increase the brand value
  4. Monitor Dealer wise, product wise, month wise sales plans and take corrective actions to improve the same
  5. Developing Schemes and proposals for clients to increase sales and revenue
  6. Develop sales field team through structured routine training and on the job coaching
  7. Management of Dealers / distributors to ensure high levels of service delivery in line with the overall targets
  8. Define Service Level Agreements/ Delivery terms and finalize agreements with the selected dealers
  9. Evaluate & monitor distributor /dealers performance at regular intervals to address performance gaps effectively
  10. Ensure that issues raised by the distributors / dealers are addressed in a timely manner
  11. Establish performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of all team members
  12. Coaching, motivating& managing SOs to drive sales and achieve revenue growth.

Yearly Activities

  • Arrange dealers meet of state and make sure that more than 90% of dealers attend such meeting.
  • Arrange meeting with HOD for annual target, plan and budget and submit to company before 15th March every year.
  • Arrange one to one meeting of major distributors of your area with you, SO and SR, and for setting up the target and annual activity plans between February and March every year with the convenience of HO.
  • Submit assessment report of each ace dealer, distributors and state under you to company so far as sales and market is concern.

  • Familiarity with project management & ERP tools
  • B.Sc - Agriculture /M.Sc Agri and MBA
  • Minimum 8 to 12 Years of experience in Sales of Agrochemicals/ Pesticides & Fertilizer/Chemicals or related Agricultural Products.
  • Knowledge of Crop Pattern & Pest Control.
  • Knowledge of Seasonal Crops, Pesticides, Fertilizers, Agrochemicals
